RSBlog! revision 7 comes with several new features and improvements:
Facebook comments, Google +1 button, a new module for displaying popular blog articles, support for standard Joomla! content plugins.

In a couple of days, Joomla! 1.6 will reach end of life and will no longer be supported.

All Joomla! 1.6 users are being advised to upgrade to the latest Joomla version, 1.7, before 19 August 2011.

If you have migrated your websites to 1.7, then you’ll be happy to find out that ALL RSJOOMLA! extensions (except RSTickets! - not to be confused with RSTickets!Pro and RSForm! - not to be confused with RSForm!Pro) are compatible with Joomla! 1.7.

We’ve performed multiple tests and code optimization to assure that all our extensions are stable and ready to be used on Joomla! 1.7 websites.

We’re happy to announce the release of a new RSBlog! revision with an improved JomSocial functionality, new template layout and a new group functionality.

1. Improved JomSocial functionality

We’ve improved the RSBlog! functionality so it will automatically update the JomSocial Activity Stream with the latest published articles.

A new RSBlog! revision has been released today with new features, updates and fixes:
Joomla! Search plugin, notification emails, rating system and an updated post layout.

1. Joomla! Search Plugin

The integration with the default Joomla! search allows users to find content in the RSBlog! posts as well.

Recently, we've released our newest Joomla! extension, RSSearch!, which searches content into Joomla! articles, sections, categories and 3rd party components.

Today, we're happy to announce new RSSearch! integrations with our blog component, RSBlog! and with 2 popular directory components, Sobi2 and Mosets Tree.

1. Find content in RSBlog! articles

Users will be able to find content in blog posts and categories too, if the RSSearch! - RSBlog! plugin has been previously configured.

Make sure the plugin is published in the "Plugin Manager" area and the RSSearch! module is enabled to find the RSBlog! content.
