RSMail! 1.20.0 - DKIM functionality and Other improvements

in RSMail! on 23 Oct 2014 having 0

We are happy to announce a new version of RSMail! which includes fixes, updates and most important : new features!

What's new

  • DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM)

DKIM is an email validation system designed to detect email spoofing by providing a mechanism to allow receiving mail exchangers to check that incoming mail from a domain is authorized by that domain's administrators.

The primary advantage of this system for e-mail recipients is it allows the signing domain to reliably identify a stream of legitimate email, thereby allowing domain-based blacklists and whitelists to be more effective. This is also likely to make some kinds of phishing attacks easier to detect.

  • Mail Settings

To further improve the functionality of RSMail!, the dev team included in the 1.20.0 version the option to choose which mailing settings the component should use, making it no longer dependent on the Joomla! Global Configuration

  • New layout (menu-item)

In order to simplify things and get all your relevant information in one place, RSMail! came with the solution to create a new layout that incorporates the unsubscribe / details / view message. Your customers will only have to type in their email address and they will receive a private link that will allow them to edit their subscriptions

  • Newsletter module

The newsletter module was redesigned to allow an increased flexibility to perform template overrides.

What's improved

  • Cron logs

    - Added functionality to search through the Cron logs

  • Subscribers filtering

    - Updated the subscribers filtering in the back-end

  • jQuery

    - All Javascripts were converted to jQuery

What's fixed

  • Fixed an issue regarding an error was not displayed when trying to upload a file with an invalid extension
  • Fixed a bug related to the Joomla! 3.3 tooltip
