RSFiles! - Joomla! form manager

We’ve released RSFiles! revision 6 with several backend and frontend improvements.

1. Joomla! 1.6 compatibility

RSFiles! is now fully compatible with Joomla! 1.6

2. Two new placeholders:

Starting with RSFiles! revision 6, you can use 2 new placeholders:

  • {filepath}: can be used as a source URL for a flash player
    RSFiles! placeholder - filepath
  • {FilesNumber}: the placeholder can be used in the “Themes” tab (Files, Download and Details Template) to return the number of files in a folder.

RSFiles! - Joomla! download extension

RSFiles! revision 5 comes with new file and notification email functionalities.

1. Report email

Besides the existing emails (admin, download and upload emails), a new one has beend added to notify the administrator about the user reported files - the “Report email”.

To enable the report email, in the backend Joomla! panel head to Components >> RSFiles! >> Settings >> Email >> Report email.

{Report}, the new placeholder added for the report email, returns the user text complaint.

We’ve launched today a new revision for RSFiles - rev. 4 with 5 new features, from which the most important are the Bookmarks.

This option allows your users to bookmark files while surfing the website by clicking the “Bookmark” icon and download multiple files at once.

We have recently released a new Joomla! plugin, the RSFiles! System Plugin, that aRSFiles! - Joomla! file extension

llows you to publish files and folders on a chosen page, whether the page includes text or is a 3rd party page.

It is rather easy to use:

  • in the backend panel, choose the page where you want to publish the content of the file or folder.
  • if you want to publish the entire content of the configured download folder, use the following syntax: {rsfiles }
  • if you want to publish the content of a file, there is an extra thing that you must specify in the brackets - the path where the file is located.
     e.g.  If your file is "ipad.jpg", then you will write {rsfiles  images/ipad.jpg}
  • if you want to publish the content of a specific folder, use the same syntax as you used for files (you must specify the path where the folder is located).
     e.g. If your folder is "images", then you will use {rsfiles  downloads/images/}
