Along with the added, Joomla! 3.x compatibility, RSSeo! core code was refactored, thus providing improved functionality and performance.
Joomla! 3.x Compatibility
RSSeo! is now compatible with Joomla! 3.x. The code has been rewritten from scratch to match the new Joomla! 3.x MVC, and we took the time to improve the scripts to use less resources. Using less resources, it now runs faster.
The administration has a brand new look and feel, using responsive framework with a more friendly user interface and bootstrapping compatibility, it can improve your workflow.
Note: The revision is compatible only with Joomla! 2.5 and 3.x, it will not work on Joomla! 1.5. PHP 5.2.x or above is required as well.
New Features
Two new SEO related checks have been improved:
- Check for images without the 'alt' attribute. Now displays a list with the images that are missing this attribute.
- Check for images without the 'width' or 'height' attribute. Now displays a list with the images that are missing this attribute.
The lists are shown when editing a crawled page, if the attributes are missing (Components > RSSeo! > Pages).
