The proper workflow to achieve this (using eg. the default RSEvents User Group) is to turn "Users in this group can edit events" to OFF, if set to yes, they can edit ALL events. Then, create a menu item for the Group with the 'List Type' in the Options tab set to 'User Events'. In that setup, the listing is editable (seems to over-ride the Group setting but you won't find that one in the docs). As far as editing their own images, there's a setting within the JCE Editor to restrict user file and pic uploads to a folder based on their username.

The article menu item also has some parameters. Can you please check if your menu item has 'Show Icons', 'Show Print Icon' and 'Show Email Icon' correctly set (edit your menu item and look at the Options tab)?

Hi Alex,
Thanks for reply. I'm enthused by the fact that you guys listen. Most times users are fobbed off or ignored.

Here are some other useability suggestions:
  1. Stop using "Now" for start end times in Admin UI for a new event (allow a default start like 09:00)
  2. Change the Category filter in search to a drop down select (how do NEW visitors know what category they are looking for?
  3. Provide 'Option' to autofill meta page title & desc with event title and desc
  4. Provide config of default contact...

There are actually two ways to achieve this:

1. Through RSMediaGallery! menu item - in order to use this head to Menus > Main menu > Add new item and select RSMediaGallery! Gallery layout from "Menu Item Type". Note that you can choose which images to be displayed by selecting their tag from menu item's Options tab.

More on this here:

2. Through RSMediaGallery! Content Plugin - you can download...

Hi,
I deleted the briefcase folder and created a new one outside the joomla install. Now the user briefcase folders would not be created, so I deleted that as well, created a new one at the top level of joomla install, disabled briefcase from rsfiles settings, deleted and re-created user groups in rsfiles settings, created my menu item to view the briefcase files.
But the folders for the users are not autocreated. Do I have to uninstall RSFiles and re install it?

thanks

All RS-templates:

On desktops (horizontal-menu) it's just right, to highlight the whole chain of menu-items from the first level to the last active child.
But on mobiles with non-switchable vertical-menus it is baffling to get the whole chain highlighted, because the items don't appear back to back but with intervals.
For the vertical-menu I suggest to highlight only the last active child.

Is it already possible to configure this behavior via a css-file?

Kind regards

Are you asking if you can customize the Details Layout of the Manage Directories menu item?

How about customizing the Edit view? How do you get the "Free Text" elements to display on this page? They don't, even after selecting them.

Is it even possible to customize the edit-view, or add some html elements or css styles to the field elements? A work-around? There is no $formLayout PHP area for managed directories, so I am unsure as to how to add anything to the edit-view.

Thanks

I need some help in Finding the Correct URL for new user to sign up for a Membership in RSMembership. I'm not seeing the URL anywhere in the Admin membership info and attempting to get the URL buy creating a menu item linking to it, isn't working. BTW, I'm not concerned with the SEF link which i know i can create later with sh404SEF.

Hello,

I have a basic form designed to capture visitors basic contact information. What I would like to do is link the full form showing all form fields to a menu item but also display just one field from this same form, i.e. the user's email address input field in a module.

Essentially what I am trying to achieve is provide two avenues on the front end of the website for a user to leave their email address, at least, yet populate one submissions list in the backend.

I could create two forms...

You can easily achieve this throught "RSForm!Pro - Submissions View Menu Item" which displays the submissions in the front-end for a form of your choice. Head to Menus > Main Menu > New > Submissions - View and from its Options tab select the form of wich submissions you want to display.

In the front-end you will see that a "Download PDF" link is displayed for each submission. You can download the submission's PDF which can be easily printed.

You can access the RSBlog! front-end functionality through several menu items such as Blog view and Single post. Head to Menus > Main Menu > Add new menu item > and select RSBlog! > Blog view as menu item type.
You can customize what posts to show and how to show them through menu item parameters from Options tab.

In order to achieve this you need to use Map Radius Search menu item. Head to Menus > Main Menu > Add new Menu item > New > RSDirectory! > Map Radius Search. On its configuration page click on Layout tab and there you will find all the configurations you need such as Locations, Categories, or map options.

Does anyone know how to set permissions so that Public users can download files? I don't want them to have the menu item taking them to the RSFiles, but I have set the permissions of the directory so that 'Public' are able to download. But when a non-registered user tries to download a file from a link, Joomla asks them to log in. It's only when I enable the Public to view RSFiles that they can actually download.

I'm still waiting to buy a RS-Template because I think an expand-button (-icon) is important for comfortable using submenus on smartphones.

When you are about to offer this feature?

Hello,

Is there a way to show a dynamic list of all the forms published in the front end as a menu item? The component menu item for RSForms! Pro allows to display one form at a time, I want to list all the forms currently created.

Please advice. Thank you
