I am using RS Blog and have categorised my blogs.
I now wish to create two separate menu items each with a different category of blogs. I have tried to set this up but get all the blogs on both pages.
Is RSBlog capable of doing what I ask?

Check the Login Module settings (mod_login). I would imagine that has to be set to public regardless. Also, set the login and logout re-direction page. There is a select drop-down box for each that allows you to choose a menu item. Set that to your Home item.
I will look around some more on my site to see if there is anything else and get back to you.

BTW, my site is J! 1.5.23. What is yours?

Thanks,
KP

I didn't know that was possible. Whenever a guest goes to a page that has Registered permission they get an ugly error page. I would love to have it go to a login screen instead. If that is possible, do you know how to set it up?

Thanks for sharing your screen shots. The difference I see is that if I make the Home menu item Public, then the event calendar is visible and...

That sounds like a problem with your Joomla not re-directing to a login prompt for Registered or Special permission pages. It would REALLY be a good time for someone from RSJoomla to chime in here. Anyway, I'm not sure if this is going to help, but here are two screen shots of my menu setup for Kunena as my default front. Perhaps you can find something here in comparing these pics with your setup:

This is what I have gotten as an answer so far:
"This is rather normal, mainly because the differences between menu items and modules. In a menu item the alias is being used. The module listing can only use the standard direct links to the article pages.", which for the life of me does not make any sense at all.

We're using Schlu's Eventlist on another site, and the links form their module are generated and pointing to the right SEO URL.

I think you can just go into the Menu (in the backend), find the default (one with star next to it) and change its Item type to RSEvents -> Calendar -> Calendar Layout. I would think that will do it. It's been a while since I have done something like that (I made a Kunena Index the default page), but I think I'm close.

Good luck,

Have you tried selecting the Calendar Layout from the Menu Creator? (From the backend, Menus -> <menu name>, click New Button then under "Select Menu Item Type", select RSEvents -> Calendar -> Calendar Layout.
Fill out the form, save, and then view the calendar from the menu (on front).

You turn off the search box in the menu item.

Go to the menu item that links to the blog. On the right side under "Basic Options", change "Enable Search" to "No". I have no idea why they stuck it in there and not in the configuration tab, but they did.

I still have not figured out the annoying date issue.

Note to RSJoomla! You might want to add this to your documentation before someone else time trying to figure it out.

When creating a Calendar Layout Menu item, make sure "Show user events" is set to NO. Otherwise, the only events that will be displayed on your calendar will be those events you entered yourself.

Is there a way to make it so that people dont have to hold ctrl to choose multiple things? This doesnt seem very user friendly to me and see this type of multiple choice where you can just click multiple item in a drop down menu.

Thanks everyone!

Hello-

Is there a way to show a dynamic list of all the forms published to the front end? The component menu item for RSForms allows to display one form at a time, I want to list all the forms currently created.

In working on a new 1.7 site I was repeatedly being randomly logged out of the admin when editing/saving articles and menu items. After trying other things, I disabled RSFirewall and the logouts stopped.

Sorry for answer so late.
The point is, the link is correct but only works if a menu link exist. If i deactivate the menu link then the link in the text link doesn't work anymore.
So if i only wanted link to a form in a text, i can't do it.
I can give you a guest account for my site, its still in progress: www.zoominmuebles.com.ar/index.php?optio...iew=rsform&Itemid=55

Thanks, Michael

The listing order can be controlled via the RSEvents! menu item (RSEvents! > List events).

Hello,

This can be achieved with the help of the mod_rsformlist module or the "View submissions" menu item. You can read more about the module here:

You can read more about the "View submissions" menu item here:
