Hi,
With excel the data needs to be imported into excel, not simply exported and opened in excel. Once exported, go to Menu > Data > Import External Data > Import Data, browse the CSV file and set up the delimiter from the wizard that appears.

Note that although the export options allow you to choose the field enclosure for the fields, excel will only use either an apostrophe ' or quotation mark " as a field enclosure. This can be a problem if your text field responses have these characters in...

Turning off the Tiny MCE editor was the right idea; I was just going about it the wrong way.

From the Joomla control panel, go to Site > Global Configuration. Under the Site tab, Site Settings, you'll see a dropdown menu to choose the Default WYSIWYG editor. Select Editor - No Editor. Now when you go to edit the User Email in RSForms, you'll see the HTML code only. You can edit the img src command to read properly. When you Save & Close, the software will not alter your code. Then go back to...

Duh, that was a NOOB question.

Here's the answer (for those as new at this as me):

Make a module, put the info you want in the module, publish it to the menu item and Voila! Done.

(just don't call me a noob anymore) ;)

Hi Thomas,

By any chance to you know if I don't have users registered if it will work ok? Right now, I have my order form setup from a menu item. The users are not required to register first. Also, do you know how the \"select\" drag and drop works? I have a windows PC so not sure if I use left mouse button to highlight (select) and ALT+Click to drag?

Thanks for any help! :)

In rsshowform, can you create a menu link directly to the specific listing page vs having to go through the \"private mainboard\" screen? I don't want to show all of the different \"show titles'. How do I accomplish this? Thank you in advance!

Hello, I'm currently testing RSFORM Pro with a great success for a online order form. The from is 100+ fields for 10 items. Basically, customer enters part number, price, amount and the form calculates total with shipping and my interest. But in current setup they can't check order status online or leave comments - only thru email. If I use RSTickets concept - it's perfect!

Is it possible or will it be possible in near future to edit ticket form to include drop down menus, field validation...

I'm a newbie too, However, everything works...

View the Sample form that came with your install..

Email solution: If you place a \"Valid\" email in both the User Email, and Admin Email.. an email will be sent.

Also, the \"user\" on your site should be \"registered\" in order for the fields to be populated with THAT users information..

Also, check that USER's settings to ensure that \"Send System Emails\" in enabled...otherwise an email will not be...

I created a form (man was that easy)
I competed the \"User Email\" and \"Admin Email\" tabs.
I added the form to a menu

It looks great.

See it at: pokerplayersinternational.com/index.php?...d=2&Itemid=99999

I fill in the form fields and i click the \"submit\" button ... but nothing happens.

I feel dumb asking the question - but what...

Hello everyone and hello alex,
I just bought and installed the RSTickets component and during installation, everything turned out well 'success'. Then I wen up to the Components menu and chose RSTickets --> departments and got to the right page but got this error :
Please check that /var/www/vhosts/team-esport.com/httpdocs/components/com_rstickets/files/ is a directory and is writable (CHMOD 777) !
And it appears on every RSTickets page ...
I then went to check my components directory on...

Hi Thomas,
I have gotten this method to work multilingually, but it's tricky.
I use JoomFish 2 on Joomla 1.5.8, and it has a bug that won't allow translating URLs in External Links (menu items).

First fix that - see:
http://www.joomfish.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=2388&p=11140&hilit=different+external+url#p11140

You can also get around that using Firefox's Firebug addon.

Now you can translate your menu item into any languages. So for example, I had an External Link type menu...

Hi Michael,

I'm fairly new to Joomla also and needed to do the same as you. I made a content page that the link in the left menu led to, instead of linking directly to my survey. On the content page I put a message regarding being registered and added a second link for members only to the actual survey.
On my left menu, I made a subheading underneath the original survey link. This submenu leads directly to the survey also (and only shows for registered users).
This is not ideal. as I would...
