I had a requirement to add text within a ticket submission form as can be done with RSFormsPro but is not currently supported in RSTickets. The following code changes show how this can be done. Note these are CORE component hacks so updates will be an issue. This was done with version 1.0.0.r13 for Joomla 1.5.x

Change the following files:
components/com_rstickets/functions.php
After:
case 'calendartime':
				$return .= '<input type="text" name="rstcf_'.$row2['CustomFieldId'].'"...
Add the...

We are trying to figure out how to set the locations up in Alphabetical order. Currently when we add events to calendar and do a drop down of the locations it's hard to read through all locations until you find the right one.

It would be better to do the drop down and read locations in alphabetical order.

Can you please let me know if this is possible and if not what changes I can make.

Hello,

1. Yes, this can be adjusted directly from the RSTickets language file.
2. a) You can add as many custom fields as you want, but note that custom fields are configurable per department.
b) Currently you can set them to be required or not, but no validation functions. We already have this on our TO DO list and this will be included in future revisions. Till then you can customize the /components/com_rstickets/page/add_ticket.php file and add a javascript function that will enable...

Hello Anna

Many people have asked in this forum for advice on modifying the behaviour of the calendar, but it seems that the RS-folks have chosen a calendar that is very hard to customise or transfer parameters too. The only advice I have found is this one on changing the first day of the week: http://www.rsjoomla.com/customer-support/documentations/27-frequently-asked-questions/151-how-do-i-modify-the-calendar-so-it-starts-with-monday-.html

It is possible, however, to add a new validation...

I have a calendar on my form, but I don't want people to select the current date. Basically its for a restaurant and they don't want reservations for the current day your on. So how would I be able to do that?

Hi everybody, I'm a new member.
I would like to build a web calendar with events reminders.
Is it possible to make the application automatically send an email notification to the administrator of my site, when a particular event is going to expire? I mean an automatic system which reminds me that an event will expire in a fews days.
If so, I would buy this component.
thanks
Antonio

This is happening to me now - using the most recent component: 1.2.0 rev 27.

The calendar is the culprit. Any way to enter the defer="defer" fix somewhere in the code?

Hello Vicki and Randall

I submitted a ticket about this issue. Apparently there is no easy way to customise the chosen (Javascript?) calender nor to transfer parameters to it. They suggested to me, that I implement 3 pulldown menus instead: One for year, one for month and one for day and that is what I am going to do for my site although it does not look so fancy. I might implement some date-restrictions too since the manual tells you how to implement constraints.

But I think the developers are aware of this feature wish.

Yours
Cluas

Agreed, would love to see this added.

Certain examples are given in the documentation on how to customise the calendar so that the week starts on Monday rather than Sunday.

Is there a way to customise it so that it starts out at a certain date in the future rather than at today's date? This would imply having to pass a parameter to it on every invocation, I am aware. But I guess this is a common open-source calendar and it has a lot of options?

For example: On December 1, I am going to a announce a lot of gliding courses at [url]...

I didn't get a response to this.

If this topic is important to you, why don't you go to:

feedback.rsjoomla.com/pages/26179-joomla...ent-manager-rsevents

and vote on it.

As I see it right now, RSEvents is only suited for inviting people to local, well known locations. If you put up the name of a hotel as the location of the event, when people search for events at that location they may think it is in their city when it is not.

Also, as you have a few hundred people create...
