You didn't Publish the form.

Also, it would appear that you're creating the menu item incorrectly.

Go to your list of forms and copy the FORM LINK to the form you want to add to the menu.
Close that component and go to the MENU options.
Choose the menu you want to add the form to.
Select NEW MENU item.
Select Link-URL
Paste the FORM LINK in the appropriate box.
Publish the menu item.
Save

Hey Xpresso,

In case it's a joomla error, give this a try:

1. Publish the mambot,
2. Publish the link display module in an \"unused\" position,
3. Make a content item posting with the tag: {mosloadposition user1}
-Where user1 is the unused position I've published it to.
4. Make sure the module is referencing Tags for Actual field names you've used in your form.
5. Create a menu item link to that content item, and then
6. Go back into the module again and set the \"Menu Item...

Hi Andy,

I think this is what you need:

www.fusionyac.org/index.php?option=com_f...;fid=1&Itemid=40

Create a new menu item, and select Link-URL and paste this url in the Link textbox.

Help!

How do I tell the RSform / Joomla to use a specific template and html file. The form is called as a URL from a menu which applies to a sub site which uses a different css and html file to the index home page.

So the form is looking like this:
www.fusionyac.org/index.php?option=com_forme&fid=1

But I want it to pick up this template:
fusionyac.org/index.php?option=com_conte...;id=31&Itemid=40

NB I'm not referring to form styling but the overall template.

Thanks

Andy

I have purchased and installed Forme 1.0.4

I am having difficulty getting the form to publish. This is the error that I get:
The page you are trying to access does not exist.Please select a page from the main menu.

you can see it here:

I have tried it using the mambot as well as linking directly to the component.

I am also using SWMenuPro

Has anyone seen this problem or have any suggestions?

Excellent! This worked perfectly, this is a small problem but I was able to work around it:

When attempting to use an external address it would not work for me (I was using a redirect to a https:// - didn't try a http:// to see if it would work) - to fix this problem I just put the link in a wrapper, made a menu link to it, copied the url of the menu link, unpublished the menu item, and then put the link to that in forMe.

Also, I'm still having problems getting fields to line up horizontally...

In order to show the form in the same page as the results (like in our Demo here:

http://www.pimpmyjoomla.com/forme/index.php?option=com_forme&fid=1&Itemid=37

I did the following:

1. In my joomla template, i set up this code:
<?php mosMainbody();
if(mosCountModules('user1')) {
mosLoadModules('user1', -2);
} ?>

This ensures me that if a module is published in user1, it is being displayed under the body.

2. I added a new menu item that points to my form link

3. I...

Hello Peter,
in your Forms Manager Screen, you have a Link column. copy(or click) that link, and add it to your main menu as a New Menu Item / Link(URL).

Let me know.

Lets talk this from the begining. Assuming you created a new form(lets say index.php?option=com_forme&fid=1), so ID is 1.

Add a menu item to that form link. Then, publish the module and make sure it's on the Form Menu item too.

Edit the module, and at the field Form Id: type 1. This should make your results visible. Let me know.

Hm, i don;t think it's a bug. Modules are displayed on Menu Items. In order to make a module show, you have to add the Form link to one of your menus, lets say mainmenu (by creating a new menu item, and selecting Link - Url as option, then adding \"index.php?option=com_forme&fid=1\" to it's Link field. After that, you have to go to your Modules screen, edit your module, and make it visible on this new Menu Item. Let me know if it worked for you.

All you have to do is make sure you are using the link provided by the component. Each form has it's own link, listed in the Forms Manager screen. It's called Link and it looks something like this: index.php?option=com_forme&fid=1.

simply go to the menu you wish to link to your new form via:

>Menu > Your Menu Title

Add a new menu item as Link - URL then copy and paste the url into the field provided ensure everything is published and the menu module is situated in a published module.

Its that simple folks.

Regards

Thanks, that worked. My first attempt was a menu item that pointed to the component. Now I have used a menu link to a URL it seems OK.

In general, is that the way to go with components?
