I'm trying to put a form in a content item using the syntax {mosforme 1} - 1 being my first form ID - however the form does not show up. It just adds the text \"{mosforme 1}\" in the content item. I've installed the forms component correctly and also the mambot per the instructions on the FAQ. Any ideas what I may be doing wrong?

I have, thanks. I can create a hyperlink to the form and that works fine, but still can't get the form to actually show up in the content.

Hi Ehart,

please check that the mambot is also published. Go to Mambots > Site mambots for that.

Mine is showing up great, so now I just need to know the {tag} to do the same with
the mosforme LIST module...

I'd like to display the list of results from a single form in a content item, and of course to be able to format it as much as possible.

Thanks,
Luke

Re:Embed Form in Content 17 years 2 months ago #1890

I found in another post here (finally) that I need to:

1. Publish the mambot,
2. Publish the link display module in an \"unused\" position, and then
3. Make a content item posting with the tag: {mosloadposition user1}
-Where user1 is the unused position I've published it to.

I did all of that but I can't get anything to display on my content page... I can view it, but nothing at all is showing up where my {mosloadposition user1} tag is.

In my case, I used user7 out of 12 user positions in my template... I have no clue why it came with so many but I guess I just don't know which are used and which aren't... I went to \"Module Positions\" on my admin panel and it appears that all 25 of my user positions are unused... none have descriptions at least, but of course some must be used or my site wouldn't be displaying anything.

So what am I missing here? Does the position need to be one that the template references too, despite the fact that nothing is in it at the time?

Thanks,
Luke

After tweaking and tweaking I finally got it to launch in position user7.

I'm still not sure which switch I threw that did it, but it's working now so I can copy the settings next time I need it.

Thanks anyway for your help.

Same here. I'm having the exact same problem. Nothing but the tag i typed in shows up. I have submitted a support query, so if it gets answered then i'll post any fix in here.

Hey Xpresso,

In case it's a joomla error, give this a try:

1. Publish the mambot,
2. Publish the link display module in an \"unused\" position,
3. Make a content item posting with the tag: {mosloadposition user1}
-Where user1 is the unused position I've published it to.
4. Make sure the module is referencing Tags for Actual field names you've used in your form.
5. Create a menu item link to that content item, and then
6. Go back into the module again and set the \"Menu Item Links\" up to dispaly on that page.

After saving I think it will work for you, albeit extremely unformatted. (Which you need to format in the module's Row Layout field.)

It's tricky but I'm getting it to work now. -With any luck I'll beat the CSS demons out of it and have a working form tonight.

Good luck!
Luke

Cheers, i'll have a look at that work around when i get a bit more time to experiment. I ended up adding a couple of collapsible user fields to the template i made and using the component. Now i just have to get the actual form to submit properly.
