Hi Notion,

i am working on the manual also. I wanted to write it with the new RSform! 2.0 i am working on, since there will be many functionalities coming up..

Yes, it is correct. It depends where you place the text. If you place it in the description textarea, then the syntax is:

<tr><td valign=\"top\" width=\"100%\" colspan=\"3\">{fielddesc}</td></tr>

if you place it in the Default Value text, then the syntax would be:

<tr><td...

All of your questions can be found in this forum already, however:
- for samples urls pls search this forum also you can load the sample data which will add one form once you have loaded the component

To create a new form and add field you do not need to understand the design code.
Step 1: Simply create a new form from within the forms menu - you only need to enter the two fields Form title and form name.
Step 2: Save
Step 3: Once saved, edit the form and start adding new fields (the button...

Hi sidraseomind,

1. Please do this: Go to Menu > Mainmenu > New, select Link - URL from the options, then in the next screen paste the link index.php?option=com_forme&fid=2 and give it a name. I have not tested RSform! with Artio SEF yet. I'll try making it compatible with all the major SEF components in the next version.

2. From what i see, your forms have some particular layout. You can change the layout of rsform, and each field's html layout can be changed. You have to know...

In the mambot itself, it would help if you included specific examples of the snippets.

Right now I'm trying to figure out if the code should be:

{mosforme form_id}

{mosforme form_1}

{mosforme form_id 2}

Because of the code is not correct someone like me, trying to set it up on the joomla menu gets a page not found type message on the front end.

So if you would have specific examples in the mambot itself, it would make it easier :)

Thanks for a great component)

Hi Andy,

I think this is what you need:

www.fusionyac.org/index.php?option=com_f...;fid=1&Itemid=40

Create a new menu item, and select Link-URL and paste this url in the Link textbox.

Help!

How do I tell the RSform / Joomla to use a specific template and html file. The form is called as a URL from a menu which applies to a sub site which uses a different css and html file to the index home page.

So the form is looking like this:
www.fusionyac.org/index.php?option=com_forme&fid=1

But I want it to pick up this template:
fusionyac.org/index.php?option=com_conte...;id=31&Itemid=40

NB I'm not referring to form styling but the overall template.

Thanks

Andy

Hi there,

i am using RSform! on Joomla 1.0.13 and it works without a problem. Do you think you can find these JS errors and pass them to me?

In order to properly link a form to the menu, please do this:

1. Create your form and publish it.
2. In the Manage Forms screen, you will see a Preview link on each form. Click on the one you are interested in. It will take you to the front-end and will show the form.
3. Copy that link
4. Go to Back-End > Menu > Mainmenu > New > and choose...

Hi, I just installed RS Forms on Joomla 1.12. Looks great as far as I can tell, however, I have a couple of question.

I first created a couple of forms. I then created a menu for the forms. When I created a menu to the RSForms component, I can seem to specify which form should be linked to it (it just does the last one made). Should I instead make a menu to the link of the form?

Also, it doesn't seem to be working using Joomla 1.13, and I get javascript errors when creating or editing a form. Is this expected with 1.13?

Thanks

I have purchased and installed Forme 1.0.4

I am having difficulty getting the form to publish. This is the error that I get:
The page you are trying to access does not exist. Please select a page from the main menu.

you can see it here:

I have tried it using the mambot as well as linking directly to the component.

I am also using SWMenuPro

Has anyone seen this problem or have any suggestions?

Foolsrun

I'm afraid it's a joomla issue and the main menu configuration. If I simply put the proper webaddress in the browser, the form displays properly. However, if I do a component link in the main menu configuration, it defaults to the TOP form in the form component.

I hope this helps.

Also, any idea on why the Captcha Box wouldn't work properly?

Thanks for your response. It is the CHOICE (like your drop-down menu idea) which I was interested in offering, rather than having 8 different forms for different departments. I don't want to send the form to mutiple departments, I was hoping to streamline the email contact form into 1 form, or even offer options within a department's contact form rather than being sent to the main contact person in a department. It's not urgent now, as the other method (multiple forms accessed by links) is...

Hi alex.

A request:

It would also be nice (at least for me :) ) to have a Forme button along with the other buttons on the menu (New,Copy,Remove ecc) that will return you to the initial Forme screen. This way you don't have to go all the way through your Components to find Forme and click it)

What do you think?
