Hi there
First time post. I am trying to come to grips with RS Forms and would like to offer a variety of email recipients in my Contact Form. Can this be done?

Also, is there a user manual I can download and read, or is the best way to get something done to ask in this forum? :S

Thanks
Chris

Quick follow up - I made a form for each recipient and linked to them on a previous contact page - never got an answer to hear if there was another way to do this.

Hey there,

Yes, you can have the form sent to multiple addresses. In the administration screen of your form, click on Emails. In the 'Email Form Data To' field, you can enter the name of fields that you have created or full email addresses, each separated by a comma.

Example:

Email Form Data To:
{fieldEmailAddr1},someone@company.com,{fieldEmailAddr2}

I am having an issue though if the email address is in a drop-down list, the email only goes through to the first name in the drop down list and not any of the other choices. Still waiting (2 weeks now) on a response from the developer.

Hope I helped you out a little bit.

If you are using a dropdown box for email they are put in the db as an array and that is the reason that the first email will be used.

I would think that that should be a viable option wouldnt you think? Isnt there a way to store them differently so that we could make it work?

Thanks for your response. It is the CHOICE (like your drop-down menu idea) which I was interested in offering, rather than having 8 different forms for different departments. I don't want to send the form to mutiple departments, I was hoping to streamline the email contact form into 1 form, or even offer options within a department's contact form rather than being sent to the main contact person in a department. It's not urgent now, as the other method (multiple forms accessed by links) is working, but I think it would be a powerful addition (if it's not already possible).

I think what is desired here is just what Joomla core offers in the Contact page.
In the contacts component you can enable \"Dropdown\"

So if you have 5 contacts, the dropdown allows you to select one of the 5 using the same form.

Is this possible in RSForm?

Has there been a solution to this?
I too am looking to have a drop down contact list, having only the contact selected receive the email...
