testing our first form, which is a form landing page using the joomla hidden menu trick. We are using a rockettheme template.

we have checked all the settings we can think of:
 • the form is assigned to a hidden menu
 • the modules are assigned to that menu item as expected
 • a specific template is assigned to the menu item for the form

Despite assigning the modules to the menu item, what displays is not expected based on our settings. We have used this method successfully with other Joomla...

If you setup a location within RSEvent! Pro, can the map of the location be displayed anywhere on your website or can it only be displayed on the event page?

I have several different locations that I would like to display that map of a location on a page other than the event page.

If this is possible can anyone please explain what I need to do?

I have tried using the Locations module and the Maps Module but when I add it as a module and link it to a menu page it does not display.... yes it...

Hi Chris,
Just came accross your post while browsing.
I have just got the front end editing all setup on a site for my client. It;s very nice.

Make sure your security group has editining own events and adding (you said you have done this).
Make sure your user is in that group.

Then you need to create a menu item for RSEvemtsPro 'Add Event' option.
Make sure you set the access level to the same as your group above.
You can also add a menu item for seeing your list of submissions in the same...

Hi there

I've created a menu option with the 'list locations' option, but the search box doesn't appear, despite the option is set to "yes". I have a lot of locations, so navigating with the 'show more' button is a mess...

I want to utilize bootstrap with font awesome regarding my drop down menu and buttons. I can't think of what to configure or how to make that at all possible.

For example I want to alter the caret that points down for the drop down menu but can't figure how I would be able to do that.

I appreciate help in this regard.

Hi again,

I solved this issue. The problem is that MooTools (the Javascript-library used by Joomla and in the Joomlart-templates) conflicts with jQuery. That is caused by the same use of the variable $ and can be repaired with using jQuery.noConflict. The jQuery.noConflict must be after loading the MooTools library and jQuery-library in your page.

So, move the scripts from step 3 and 4 to the HTML-layout-field (Your Form --> Properties --> Form Layout) in RSForm! Pro, as follows:...

Off...

Hi,

This works, but because of the jQuery-function, it conflicts with mootools... And without mootools, the menu doees not work, and also some modules stop functioning.

So, is it possible to do this without jQuery? Perhaps change the HTML-code in the form-layout, with auto-generation OFF ?

OR, is there a way to avoid the conflict between jQuery and MooTools? I've added this piece of code at page-header in my template:
<script type="text/javascript">
jQuery.noConflict();
</script>

Thanks!

Gerard

Hi,

I've used the demo dynamic dropdown example as shown here http://demo.rsjoomla.com/dynamic-drop-down-change-form-example to create a dropdown for country --> state --> city.

It kind of works, the only snag is the first item automatically defaults to the top rather than the 'please select' and it doesn't load the related city list unless i select another state and go back to the one I want.

I'm a bit confused as the -- parent_array[""] = -- statement at the top of all dropdowns should load,...

Hello,

This can be configured directly from the 'Events calendar' menu item. When editing the menu item, please set the 'Start day' option to 'Sunday'. You can read more on this topic here:

The module is a totally separate thing to the menu item. It doesn't matter what settings you setup in the menu item, they don't affect the module and vice-versa.

As for the "security hole" you are mentioning: as a visitor, you can guess the URL of a menu item (index.php?option=com_rsform&view=submissions&formId=3) and you could as a result view the submissions. This is why the parameter was added - so that people won't be able to view submissions when they're not allowed to do so.
But you can't...

Found the solution myself (or more of a miss on my side). Apparently you have to say "Yes" to "Enable Viewing Submissions ?" in the backend for the URL to appear.

Which raises another question - how come I was able to view the form and details while Viewing Submissions was set to "No"? In my setup I had Submissions set up as module and included in an article so this is not 100% how it was intened (vs. linking from the menu). It is, however, a security hole.
