Oh, damn, i thought i tested it, but the same issue is present in Opera 9.20. The calendar shows, but you cannot choose a date. I will study if this is a Forme error or a global Joomla issue, since the calendar is a Joomla core part.

Have tried with 9.01 on Linux and I can confirm that the problem exists.

The behaviour is that the calendar shows, but does not take action when a day is clicked.

It is interesting to see that if I set opera to Mask as Internet Explorer or to Mask as Mozilla, the calendar works fine.

So, something in the code (javascript probably) acts different in the way the browser identifies itself.

if this is code in Javascript, the \"right way (tm)\" is to try to catch exceptions to see what...

I noticed that I will have to dig deeper to find a solution. The Calendar is a core function for Joomla, actually a javascript either at /includes/js/jscalendar-1.0/ or /includes/js/calendar/. I see that only the english language files are present.

I did not have time yet to google it nor look at the code but there must be a way to do it and lets hope that someone else did it before.

By the way:
Do you use week numbers in the Netherlands?
Is Monday the first day of the week?

I have a correct Joomla installation in Swedish (works with other packages) but my forme calendar appears in English. This is one of the issues that I have to solve for obtaining a complete Swedish translation/localization of forme.

I would be thankful for a solution or hints on how to solve it.

First of all thank you for great Free Open Source Software!

I am working on a Swedish translation for Forme and would like to find reviewers and contributors. Obviously I will also try to activate people at a couple of Swedish groups. This thread is perhaps a good place to collect suggestions and contributions. Please keep your postings in English.

1) The easy part is to create a language/swedish.php based on the existing language/english.php file.

2) The calendar has to be adapted. In Sweden...

Hm, the calendar is part of the core Joomla package. I thought that when you install joomla in Dutch, the calendar should also be Dutch. Seems it's not right?

Hi, I know your component now for two days, never been so exited about a Joomla component. It really rocks! This is what I have in phpwcms and missed in Joomla! It should be in the top ten!
The calendar is a neet gadget but how can I get to have it display in Dutch?

Yeah would be very nice, but have no clue how at this moment. So sorta have to leave it the way it is right now.

Still need to figure out how to change the color of the calendar. probably need to add something to my original CSS.

Well,.... Don't know if \"the boss\" will like it.... but as long as you write down TEST in first or last name... then it's okay...

And if site isn't available on this like, then the site is LIVE, and then no more testing... hihihih.

Click here for the website. then click on Join Ult.Par.

(I still need to edit the colors of calendar.)

Calendar simply doesn't work with Opera browser. Checked it on PC and Mac.
I used Opera to fill out this form taken from demo at pimpmyjoomla.com: link

So there is definitely something wrong with forme itself and it is crossplatform / crossbrowser bug.

In IE, FF it causes a unresponsive script warning, in Opera submit button and calendar doesn't work at all.<br><br>Post edited by: crazycat, at: 2007/05/11 16:17
