Sorry for the extra post but this is for XHTML 2 Lines, but should work with any setup just change the class to fit your setup.

Hello All,

I recently had to find a way of showing and hiding fields without unchecking the "Auto-Generate" box in RSForm Pro. I ran into this problem because I am constantly changing multiple forms and it seemed counter productive to always copy/paste my id's everytime I would add/remove some field. So I came up with what is below. This is my first post so if I leave anything out or do not post correctly please let me know and I will fix it.
function displayField_auto()

Hey everyone!

I'm trying to follow this tutorial: www.rsjoomla.com/support/documentation/v...-or-hide-fields.html

I got it working correct using those steps for 1 field, but what I want to do it create a single toggle radio that will hide and show multiple fields. I thought I could just put the fields in a span or div and then apply the id to the span or div, but that doesn't seem to work. It only works if I apply the id to the tr tag. Any reason why? It seems to work in standard html.

Thanks!

Hello,

Instead of setting the "hide" id, as per the example that you pointed out, to a single field, you can set it to multiple fields and so all the fields will be shown/hidden when the "More" button is clicked.

Hi All

I need help with setting up the javascript to implement some show / hide fields like in the demo site here.

There are two issues.

1. Currently on my setup the fields do not hide on page load. I've been instructed to include the code JHTML::_( 'behavior.mootools' ); in the php scripts "Script called on form display" area but it's still not exactly working.

2. The form I need help with is here. It breaks down into 3 parts.
  1. The fields that everyone sees,
  2. The fields that only show when...

Hello,

I would recommend implementing the validation part with PHP, via the $invalid method, described here:
