"Newbie question":

Is it possible to have two different dates for one event. This could be one date for the event itselves, and one date for the entry-deadline?

An example could be:
May 5th: "The great event", Entry Deadline
May 25-26th: "The great event"

One could of course argue that this is two different events, but I think it would be neat to have this as a feature. So my question is if this is possible now?

There is actually a default feature for this, head to Components >> RSEvents!Pro >> Events >> edit your event >> Event registration tab >> select the subscription start and end dates in the 'From' and 'To' fields. More on this topic here:
