Thanks - I am using the link method. I have an idea for an improvement. Allow the entry into the attributes of the Menu-component

I have discovered that I can change the link:
eg. option=com_forme&fid=2 , this then links to the second form.
How to do this from the menu is perplexing.

Hello Peter,
in your Forms Manager Screen, you have a Link column. copy(or click) that link, and add it to your main menu as a New Menu Item / Link(URL).
Let me know.

Great product. I am using v1.0.2. I have created 2 forms. Only the first form I created is being made available. I would have assumed there would be a parameter to enter in the Joomla menu to distinguish which form to execute.
How does the menu know which form to run?

Lets talk this from the begining. Assuming you created a new form(lets say index.php?option=com_forme&fid=1), so ID is 1.
Add a menu item to that form link. Then, publish the module and make sure it's on the Form Menu item too.
Edit the module, and at the field Form Id: type 1. This should make your results visible. Let me know.

Hi Alex,
Lovely component you've written. It constantly amazes me the quality of the work so many people put into Joomla!
Anyway, here are some suggestions for Forme, gleaned from what I've been doing with it (private server, sorry I can't show it in the showcase):
Grouping/Rating/Ranking:
-Have a row of radio buttons for a particular Question: ie:
'How do you rate Forme: [1][2][3][4][5]'
This can be achieved with a select pull-down menu, but is not as good visually...
-Have a divider element:
Add the...

You can see it here beatboxbattle.net/demo/index.php?option=com_forme&fid=3

Hm, i don;t think it's a bug. Modules are displayed on Menu Items. In order to make a module show, you have to add the Form link to one of your menus, lets say mainmenu (by creating a new menu item, and selecting Link - Url as option, then adding \"index.php?option=com_forme&fid=1\" to it's Link field. After that, you have to go to your Modules screen, edit your module, and make it visible on this new Menu Item. Let me know if it worked for you.

Assuming your live url is www.pimpmyjoomla.com
Go to your Admin Forme Screen, Click on Forms Manager. You will get a list of your forms. If you look at the columns, you have a Link column.
Copy that link, and paste it to your live url. You will get something like this:
www.pimpmyjoomla.com/index.php?option=com_forme&fid=2
You can add this url into your Main menu if you wish.
Let me know.

Add your form info Form Title, Form Id, Type in a Thank you message(optional), thenk click on Apply (the form is saved now).
After you save the form, click on \"New Field\", and add yout fields. Publish the form, then add a link to your joomla menu and that's it. Let me know if you have problems.

What I mean is, a numbering system.
Which will also be used in an email.
Someone fills in the form.
He/she will get an email with the info.
it has name, number and other info in it.
We get the same email and/or export to excel.
When someone comes to us, who booked online, can give his/her name and we need to search that name.
If someone says, I got reservation *1501*, then search&finding that reservation easier.
For a helpdesk it could be, Customer types in problem and get...

No. Well in the Manage Forms screen, you have a Link column. Just paste(or click) that code into your mywebsite.com/(code here) and that's the page. You can add a Menu link to the component also, if you only have 1 form(it will take by default the first form). Let me know if it worked fine.

Hello,
Im trying to create a mandatory select field where the default value (\"select\") does not count as one of the mandatory options.
Here is an example:
Im trying to create a mandatory Title field where the options are:
Select, Mr, Mrs, Ms.
I would like the select menu to be mandatory, but at the moment when I make the field mandatory, \"Select\" will satisfy the mandatory condition, which creates a problem because the user can just choose \"select\" and...

I created a submit button and hit Apply from the top menu to preview it. After I did this, it disables the top menu options (Save, Apply, Close, Main). I manually had to leave the screen, but it left the page \"Checked Out\". I figured out that if I hit the Submit button that is previewed in the \"Field Preview\" window on the right, it leaves the page and checks it back in.
Has anyone else had this problem?
