Hello,

Please read this this article regarding ReCAPTCHA not working on Joomla! 3

Basically: Joomla! 3 is using MooTools and ReCAPTCHA is no longer working correctly when it's loaded. It's because of a recent change Google made to their scripts. This has also been an issue with the Google Maps JS API for a few months.

RSJoomla, it's been 3 years. RSEvents has support for OpenStreetMaps since 2019, why not RSForms? Isn't it your #1 selling product?

Yes, it was pure ignorance on my part. I neglected to acquire the geocoding api from google which I found via console which is what I should've done before posting here. I thank you for your time and effort.

Hello,

I've tested your form and from what I can see, the Map field returns the address properly. Have you managed to figure this out?

I have a test form at rdgntx.com/index.php?option=com_rsform&view=rsform&formId=5

I believe I have everything setup properly. The issue I'm having is I get no output from the map field whether it's set to address or coordinates.

Has anyone else had this issue? If so what is the remedy?

Hi,

In some of our forms we collect the address of the user (in this form a reservation will be made for visiting a little themepark). We would like to see all entries on a heatmap in Google maps. Has some one an idea how to do this?

Thanks!

I'm not sure how to turn off the country, but I use javascript to split the address up into different parts. I'm sure there is probably a better way to do this, but this worked for me.

I make a Load Address button and use onclick just in case the address is an exception, but I suppose you could make it onchange and put it in the google maps additional attributes.

onchange="separateAddress();" or onclick="separateAddress();"

<script type="text/javascript">
function separateAddress(){

Hey,

I need help configuring the google Maps field.

1. How to limit the google-maps search to just one country like this:
stackoverflow.com/questions/8282026/how-...ity-and-country-only

2. The google maps field returns a whole string for the adress. However I would like to divide and insert all the filds (street, house-number, city, postal-code) into hidden fields. How can I do that?

Thanks in advance

I installed the "Google Maps Platform API Checker" in Chrome and checked whether there was a problem with the API key, but everything seems fine. This is the message I got:

SUCCESS: Woohoo! This site is correctly using an API key when loading the Maps JavaScript API v3.

So, if the API key is working, why is the map still missing?

Any ideas?

Thnx!

Hi,

I am trying to use the "Google map field" in my form, but when I preview the form the map doesn't show.

I have followed all the instructions I've found in the documentation and in the forums, but the map is still missing.

This what I've done so far:
1) I've got a Maps javascript API key from console.cloud.google.com/google/maps-apis/overview
2) I've checked that the key has no application restrictions (all referrers are allowed) and no API restrictions
3) I've copied the API key...
