Hi there,

Is there an ability to have categories be colour-coded, so that events from a certain category can be easily found when viewing in monthly or weekly view?

This is a great feature of jEvent MVC. An example is here.
http://www.jevents.net/en/demo/all-events-150

The category legend at the bottom of the monthly calendar explains the colours to the user.

Thanks.

Jason

After purchasing RSEvents I must say that the component rather looks like an early version of an events component as it lacks fundamental features:

a) limited filters (only category and location) - but many like me would need more, for example in a gig calendar in different cities a city filter ...

b) it does not have a "repeated event" feature - bad, when you have a gig at a certain location say 1 or 2 a month on a specific date for a defined time ...

c) to few options to include picture...

Hello,

You can add a preset value to the Calendar field by using a script in the "Scripts called on form display" section which will return a certain date.

I think the start date/time and End date/time is not that flexible thing (JCalPro is making better here)

for example if I want to make and event starting at friday at 21h and end at 03:00, there is no way to make it without showing also the saturday in the calendar view
start date/time : friday 21:00
end date/time : saturday 03:00

My client has authorize.net and wants to use RS Events for their calendar. Has anyone integrated authorize.net as their event payment gateway?

Hi again,

Unfortunately that's not happening. Our calendar and events sign-up pages are only viewable to logged in users. Not sure if it makes a difference but we use the following settings:

Enable Registration of Guests: No
Enable Multiple Registrations: Yes
Registration Method: Create user account automatically upon registration
Redirection Link: Joomla registration
Enable Auto-approve user: Yes
Default Registation Form: default form

Thanks

Hi, I wanted to know if there has been any progress on exporting to Google Calendar? It's something I need for a client. Thanks.

Hello,

I presume you are referring to the pop-up calendar button. If you take a closer look at the source code, you will notice that the button incorporates the following class: btnCal.

You can simply define this class inside your template (or even in the Form Layout area) and perform any style adjustments you like.

Hello,

Please make sure that you have made the correct selections in the "Menu Assignment" section of your module configuration. Please try selecting "All" for the "Menus" option, save your changes and try viewing the page again.

Hello,

You do not need to pay anything extra in order to be able use the calendar module. The only plugins that you need to purchase for RSEvents! are the payment plugins (PayPal and 2Checkout).
