Does anyone know how I can add more information to be displayed on the Calendar view? I have fooled around with it for a while, just can't quite figure it out.

I would like it to look like this

Icon
Event Name
Event Time

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi all!
This is my solution for using dynamic multilingual calendar field on multilingual sites.
First go to FAQ section for RSForm! Documentation and read article "Changing the date format".
Direct link to article
It gives you a way how to translate calendar field.
Then locate calendar.js in your joomalaroot/components/com_forme/calendar/calendar.js
Rename it to calendar-en.js. Copy it and rename to calendar-**.js (where ** is the language ISO tag)

Example:

I'm having a small issue with the DHTML calendar defaulting to the year 2018 when selected.

Anyone have any idea why it might be doing this?

Here is a corrected version of the FR language file for RsEvents.

The problem was that the file they (RsJoomla) has in the repository is not properly formatted ...I haven't tested this all the way yet but it looks like it works.

Hi,

I am trying to fill a date field determined by another date field and a text box. So there is a commencement date (the actual calendar picker field), a textbox for number of weeks and a completion date. I want the completion date to be automatically created when the commencement date is filled in and the completion date would be x weeks after the commencement date. Any Ideas?

Also what is the code to hide form fields on load?

Thanks,

Jamie.

That sounds like a problem with your Joomla not re-directing to a login prompt for Registered or Special permission pages.

I didn't know that was possible. Whenever a guest goes to a page that has Registered permission they get an ugly error page. I would love to have it go to a login screen instead. If that is possible, do you know how to set it up?

Thanks for sharing your screen shots. The difference I see is that if I make the Home menu item Public, then the event calendar is visible and...

Thanks for asking. Everything on our frontpage, except the login module, was visible only for registered. However, since I tied the frontpage to the events calendar, it has to be public or else visitors get a 404 page. What do now? Is there any way to make the calendar view for registered without screwing up the functionality of the frontpage?

Many thanks!

I think you can just go into the Menu (in the backend), find the default (one with star next to it) and change its Item type to RSEvents -> Calendar -> Calendar Layout. I would think that will do it. It's been a while since I have done something like that (I made a Kunena Index the default page), but I think I'm close.

Good luck,

Have you tried selecting the Calendar Layout from the Menu Creator? (From the backend, Menus -> <menu name>, click New Button then under "Select Menu Item Type", select RSEvents -> Calendar -> Calendar Layout.
Fill out the form, save, and then view the calendar from the menu (on front).

Is there a way to see the events calendar in a large monthly view, as is possible in Google Calendar? I'd like a monthly view that shows the events of certain days without having to click on it.

Is it possible? Available?

Thanks!

Note to RSJoomla! You might want to add this to your documentation before someone else time trying to figure it out.

When creating a Calendar Layout Menu item, make sure "Show user events" is set to NO. Otherwise, the only events that will be displayed on your calendar will be those events you entered yourself.

I hate to be a jerk and bump this, but has no one seen this problem really? I find that hard to believe. There is nothing in the documentation that I can find and nothing on the forums. I'm running the latest version 1.2.0 v24.

And another thing. You might want to make sure you copy your message before posting here. If you get the captcha wrong like I just did, you are going to be re-writing your post from scratch.

Thanks,
Keith
