Works for me on several different browsers and an android phone. Don't forget to clear browser caches as well as Joomla caches.
By 'comment' field you do mean the 'Nachricht' (message) field?

Not quite right. RSForms 3.0 works with cache enabled as long as a form is assigned to a menu. Cache is an issue with the content plugin.

I confirme :
you must completely disable Joomla cache and LiteSpeed Cache to make RSForm 3.0 work

Once a user submits a form, the data they put into the form fields won't clear.

I've tried reloading the page, clearing the browser cache, clearing all joomla caches and manually removing sessions from the database.

Any ideas?

Each time we open the form the old data we entered is still there.

Hello,

By any chance do you have cache enabled? If you do then please try disabling the caching options then test this one more time. You can read more on this topic here:

Simple ("Conservative") Caching of Components will be blocked/deactivated/doesn't work when Plugin "System - RSForm! Pro Delete Submissions" is enabled.

Steps to reproduce/test :
  1. Activate the Plugin
  2. Turn on Simple( so called "conservateve" ) Caching in Global Settings -> Tab "System" -> set "Cache" to "ON - Normal Caching" ( versus the next option, which is called "progressive" )
  3. Call an article in the frontend ( makes sure you're not logged in in frontend btw.! )
  4. Check the cache folder
  5. (cache/)...

Hello,

The first thing you should try is to match the form's layout against your template framework. More precisely, please navigate to backend > Components > RSForm!Pro > Manage Forms > your form > Properties > Form Layout > Choose a layout that matches your template. If you're using cache, clear your Joomla! installation cache and check this once more (it may also be required that you properly refresh your form's page in the frontend area using CTRL+F5).

Next, by disabling the "Load Layout...

Ah! You're right, of course. I had tried that and it didn't seem to work but now realize I had a browser cache issue.

It works fine, thank you.

Hello,

You're most likely experiencing a caching issue. This article explains why a form might not work correctly with cache and what to do.

To test if this is a caching issue, temporarily disable your Joomla! caching, then clear it (you'll need to clear it as well) and test the form once more.

Thanks. I cleared the Joomla system cache and about 15 minutes later, I was able to open the configuration tab.
