Has anyone worked out how to include a clickable website link in detail listing view yet.

I have placed this code in the description template in code view <a href="{website}">{website}</a> for a field named website as per another post and regenerated titles in the tools area but still can not get a clickable link in detail listing.
The administrator has disabled public write access.
