Simple thing but I can't exclude certain day/dates of a period.
Say an event runs from 20th to 30th but is closed on the Sunday, it would be useful to be able to "exclude" the sunday from that period.

I've tried to do this using a repeat but it doesn't work satisfactorily.
The system treats it as two seperate events with second event only showing the start date, not start and end date.

So then I tried to setup a null-repeat i.e repeat but with no repeating criteria and add the excluded days but the system still shows the event as active on the closed days.

If I make it repeat everyday during that period, then the event only shows as a one day event as opposed to being a multi-day event.

Hope that make sense.

At the current moment, there is no functionality in RSEvents!Pro to create an event that has more than one Start - End Date (basically that's what you're looking for). Although the component does have a recurring events functionality, it will create child events based on the configured parameters.

For your scenario you could either use the Description field to let your subscribers know that the "a certain day" is not included in the event, or you can use the recurring events functionality, make it repeat on every day except Sunday (as stated above, this will create multiple events instead being only one).

You can find more information on Recurring Events here:

and information regarding the Event Details can be found here:

Hi Cosmin, thanks for the reply, as I tried to explain, your last option doesn't work effectively as the recurring events just show up as being many one day events.

Hence my title...more of a suggestion/feature request than anything else.

In our case we have employed your first option with a warning in the description and a little bit of hope that people wont show up when it's closed.

I know multiple day events are a little tricky, programming wise, but an option to exclude certain days doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility.
