TOPIC: Email eotifications of event changes

Is there a way to automatically notify registered users if an event changes (e.g. location or date)?

Hello vrankie66,

Unfortunately there is no such email available at the moment. If you would like to submit this as a feature request please use our feedback section:

... and we will take your suggestions into consideration for future releases of the product.
Please remember that my responses aren't considered customer support, to receive customer support please submit a new customer support ticket, and we will gladly assist you.

I was hoping there would a feature like this. We would like to send a reminder or changes e-mail to groups of registered users. This shouldn't be too hard to implement?

I was looking into a different solution as wel, since we're using RSForm in conjunction with RSEvents for registration. You could install a mailinglist component like AcyMailing. If one registers, a script could be triggered on submit that adds the username and user email to AcyMailing. This shouldn't be too hard.

Two problems arise though: how to create a mailinglist for each RSEvent automatically and have the user subscribed to the correct list, and how to add the user to AcyMailing only after payment is complete.

Any ideas?

Hi stevent
Did you find a solution for this? I did some custom development recently for the same sort of problem, and so might be able to help
Best wishes
Miles

We've settled with the built in email functionality of RSEvents. Which is: login to the frontend of your site and go to the event and you'll see an option to send either a reminder (no further options) or an email to a selected group of attendees.
It would be nice if this function is in the admin area as well. Now an admin has to login twice.
