TOPIC: [solved] 2 pre-sales questions

[solved] 2 pre-sales questions 11 years 3 months ago #20838

Hi,

I just had a look at the specs and put my hands on your demo. However - before buying the product, I got two open questions:

1) I would like only registered users to be able to create new events from the frontend. But at the same time, I do not want these events to be auto published. Is there a sort of moderation, i.e: Registered user creates event in the frontend, then an email is sent to me and after checking the event I can then push it live from the backend

2) lets assume #1) works: Is there any way that registration feature can only be added by SuperUsers in the backend? Or is is just: Have it available for everyone or hide it in general?

Thanks for your help!

BR,

Michael

Hello,

1) This can be done with RSEvents!Pro. You can set different types of permissions for Joomla! groups of users, amongst which is the ability for users to post events from the frontend and the option for events posted by these users to require moderation or not. You can read more on this topic here:

www.rsjoomla.com/support/documentation/v...icle/688-groups.html

2) This can only be achieved through template overrides. You can either hide this option completely from all users in the frontend and it will only be available in the backend for Super users or you can hide it from all users but Super users in the frontend. You can read more on this topic here:
