Are staff members notified by email when a ticket is assigned to them?

And can you explain the process a little.

Hello,

Yes, your described scenario can be done with RSTickets!Pro, and it can only be set per department. When a ticket is manually assigned to a staff member, an email will be sent to that staff member notifying him that a ticket was assigned to him by another staff member.
