RSComments, the following error message 1146 4 years 2 months ago #39822

Hello to all
we have RSComments and RSBlog in use.
When installing RSComments, the following error message appears:
"1146 Table 'joomla_f.#__rscomments_comments' doesn't exist "

As soon as I try to access the RSComments overview, this error message is also displayed.

Best regards Michael

Hello,

This is most likely due to the fact that RSComments! folders are already present, so Joomla! thinks you're trying to perform an update (and it fails on non-existing tables). I've seen this as a result of faulty migrations, where folders would be copied over without the database tables.

To resolve this, please try renaming the following folders:

- Rename /administrator/components/com_rscomments to com_rscomments2
- Rename /components/com_rscomments to com_rscomments2

Afterwards, perform a new install.
