TOPIC: Feature Request - rsfiles multiple upload

Feature Request - rsfiles multiple upload 11 years 1 month ago #21838

Hy!
I need to know if rsFiles can handle a situation like this:

Category A :
User 1: only view files
User 2: view and upload

Category B :
User 3: only view files
User 4: view and upload

User 1&2 can't view Category B and viceversa.

Upload must be done by frontend.

Hello,

Yes, your scenario is achievable using RSFiles!. This component uses the default Joomla! user groups, you can control specific permission by creating your own groups and you can setup your files in different folders having different permissions for certain groups. More information on the permissions can be found in the following articles:

www.rsjoomla.com/support/documentation/v...icle/353-groups.html
www.rsjoomla.com/support/documentation/v...iefcase-folders.html

If enough permissions, uploads can be indeed be done from frontend. Note that you will have to have a folder/folders in the root directory where files are uploaded to, since files cannot be uploaded directly to the root path.

You can test RSFiles! in our demo page:

demo25.rsjoomla.com/rsfiles
demo25.rsjoomla.com/administrator

Full RSFiles! documentation:
