TOPIC: PHP7 & Joomla 3.5

PHP7 & Joomla 3.5 9 years 2 months ago #34051

Hello - Are all your extensions going to work with PHP7 when Joomla 3.5 comes out? I would like to move to PHP7 asap, but obviously only if my extensions work too!

I use rsforms pro, rsseo and rsfirewall

cheers Pete

All of our extensions will incorporate (some of them already do) Joomla! 3.5 compatibility, and yes you will be able to use them on PHP7 environments.

Well, there seems to be something that doesn't work. Till this morning both confirmation mails to the subscriber and notification mails to the administrator seems to work, including a bcc in the administrator mail. But since we switched to PHP7 (this afternoon) mails are send to the subscribers but not to the administrator. Does this sound familiar?

PHP 7 incompatibility means that you end up with PHP fatal errors due to some changes to the PHP syntax / functions - it doesn't mean that sending one email works while the other one does not. Your issue is not related to the version of PHP you're using - it's your server or email configuration at fault. Since this is an issue we're facing daily, we've compiled a small list of email troubleshooting steps here.
