TOPIC: Importing RSForms CSV data

Importing RSForms CSV data 10 years 5 months ago #29578

My first post to this forum, as a newbie Joomla and RSForms user, though an experienced web developer.

My query is: can I import, into a site running RSForms, CSV data exported by RSForms on another site?

I strongly suspect that the answer is 'no', based on the threads that came up on a search for 'import data', but I need to ask as otherwise I'll have to manually copy and paste many tens of entries into a form (don't ask - it's way too complicated to explain in less than 20 pages).

You can backup and restore forms (forms that can contain submissions as well), but no specific submission import tool available. More on backup / restore functionality here:

Thanks for this, Alex - it's useful to know, and I will in future use backup and restore when moving/copying forms from one site to another. In my current situation I only backed up the Joomla databases (as a SQL dump) of sites, and exported the data as CSV. Going by your reply, it looks like I'll not be able to restore this data from CSV directly into RSForm Pro, which is what I expected. I guess I'll just have to manually copy and paste.
