Hi,

Is it possible to add 2.5% transaction fee on Paypal payment through RS Form?

We are currently using the donation field to receive some custom payments from our clients.
so if anyone pay through online, we need to add the 2.5 transaction fee on it.
I tried calculation option, but it seems I cannot do this with PayPal field.

If possible, please advise me how to achieve this.

Thank you.

You can set up a PayPal payment tax by heading over to Components > RSForm!Pro > Configuration > PayPal - Tax value.

More information on the PayPal plugin can be found here:

Wow! More than a year ago and still no answer?
It seems like this would be a pretty standard request based on the necessity to pay the additional fees to PayPal or other entity without it showing up as "tax".

Since you are in-fact charging more of a "convenience fee" it seems there would be a way of adding this to the form somehow.

Doesn't look like anyone has this answer.
I've requested assistance from a Moderator on this subject as I did not want to duplicate the request, but also need to know how to add a "convenience fee" to the PayPal payment upon submission. (Even if I could add this "before" the user submits the form it would be fine), I just want this to show up as something other than "tax".

RSJoomla isn't actually providing customer support on the forum. RSForm!Pro is not a shopping cart system - naturally it has limited payment related functionality.

By default it does include a global tax option that is applied to the amount to be paid. Given that you are using the PayPal plugin, you can customize the parameters that are being delivered to PayPal, as explained here:

https://www.rsjoomla.com/support/documentation/rsform-pro/custom-scripting/personalize-paypal-parameters-per-form.html

PS: A different approach would be to implement your own custom PayPal payment solution. Both blog and forum incorporate basic examples on this.
