TOPIC: Question for a submission counter

Question for a submission counter 10 years 10 months ago #27984

Hello, I have a joomla 1.5 website, where I received 12,000 submissions from various forms, all saved on the database, and I'm re-creating the site on joomla 3, since it is not possible to copy the database to incompatibility, and among other things for some errors I can not extract the form with the submissions from the button of the form RSForm, I had a question to ask yourself ..

And 'possible to start the counter at a pre-determined amount?

Example: I have 0 submissions from the forms, and I would like that the first submission was listed as the No. 13,000, rather than being listed as # 1

If it is possible, how can I do that?
Thanks in advance

You can import the form along with the submissions, by following the steps below:
  • Before you get started please make sure to update RSForm!Pro on both installations to the latest available versions for the specific Joomla! installation you are running.
  • Components > RSForm!Pro > Backup / Restore > select desired form (make sure you check the Include submissions in the backup? option)> Generate a Backup File
  • Go in the Administrator panel of the Joomla! site you want to import the form > Components > RSForm!Pro > Backup / Restore > click the Restore tab > browse to the zip file you just generated and click Restore.

More information can be found in this article: Migrating RSForm!Pro from Joomla! 1.5 to 2.5 and 3.x

Question for a submission counter 10 years 10 months ago #28005

Hello I have a problem with the backup-restore process, when I click on "Include Sumbissions" do not download the backup file! and go to a blank page....

Look screenshot:

After clicking on (Make a Backup File):

But when I click any form, without the "Include sumbissions", download the backup files, create backup files that import successfully, but without the submission, so I can not import the form completely.

How can I fix?

Most likely caused by the size of the backup file, being too large, the PHP execution process times out. try backing up the forms+submissions one by one.

Please set Error reporting to Maximum and try again, this time when the process fails it will display an error which will help us to offer further assistance. (You can set this option by heading to Site > Global Configuration > Server > Error Reporting)

Your generated backup file seems to be too large. You can approach this matter with the second method provided in the article presented before (Migrating RSForm!Pro from Joomla! 1.5 to 2.5 and 3.x).
For this method you will have to use a database editor that incorporates table export features, like phpMyAdmin.

Currently RSJoomla! developers are working on an update to the backup/restore process to improve functionality and overcome such limitations.

If i export from phpmyadmin db the submissions tables of the Joomla v 1.5, and i reupload the dump of submissions on the phpmyadmin db of new website based on Joomla v 3.0, does it works without problems ?

I wait a reply, best regards.
And thank you so much for support in advance.

I am having a similar problem, but I am already in Joomla 2.5.

I have a single form and its submissions (2000 submissions for this one form) that I need to back up ASAP, and when I attempt to make a backup it just goes to a blank white screen. It must be timing out due to the size of the submissions like you say...but that is only 3 months worth of submissions, and I will have to keep 6 months of submissions. I don't have this problem on my smaller form, only this large one.

It's crucial that I can backup and restore just this specific form (not the entire joomla installation) and its submissions for my new server installation.

Is there a work around to get this backup working?

Thanks
