TOPIC: No way to make CAPTCHA work

No way to make CAPTCHA work 11 years 8 months ago #24637

I moved my site from Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 2.5 and there is no way to make the CAPTCHA field to work. The field shows regularly but at validation it always shows the message "invalid input"- I have both GD Support and Free Type Support enabled in my PHP, all plug-ins are enabled. Without the CAPTCHA field the form works regularly. The form is here: goo.gl/08Za8O - Anyone can help ?

I have tested your form and it seems to work normally. From what I see you are using a ReCAPTCHA field. Is this issue related to ReCAPTCHA or to the regular CAPTCHA Antispam field?

Yes, since I could not make the regular CAPTCHA work, I tried to install the ReCAPTCHA plugin and it worked straight. Still curious to understand why the regular CAPTCHA does not work. There must be some conflict somewhere becase exactly same configuration. You can try the form with the regular CAPTCHA under joomla 1.5 here: www.bontex.it/bontex15/rsform.html

Hello,

I have submited the form in the provided link and the CAPTCHA field seems to work.

After submitting the form I was greeted with:

Grazie per l'interesse nei nostri prodotti, ti risponderemo al più presto!

... which I assume is your thank you message, meaning that the form was successfully submitted.

If this issue is critical to the functioning of your website, please submit a support ticket here:
