TOPIC: Autofill Subject field

Autofill Subject field 12 years 19 hours ago #23063

Hello,

I am just about to purchase RSForm Pro for my website but I need to be sure that I can set up an autofill subject field based on the link that a customer clicks on.

I have many products that I was customers to be able to enquire about simply by clicking on an 'enquire now' button on the image and I want the subject line to autofill so I know exactly which image they are enquiring about.

I want to be able to modify the link with "&subject=" added to the url. See below:

eg. <a href="index.php?option=com_content&view=article&layout=edit&id=8&subject=autofill_subject_to_go_here">Click here to enquire about this product</a>

Can you please let me know if this can be done and what code is required, where it should go etc.

I am in a hurry to get this up and running so the sooner I get a reply, the sooner I will purchase the plugin.

Thank you,
Matt

This can be done with RSForm!Pro, but only using custom scripting, as there is no default feature for this. The following article provides a similar example:

www.rsjoomla.com/support/documentation/v...can-i-catch-it-.html

You can also refer to the following article to achieve the desired effect in a different manner:

www.rsjoomla.com/support/documentation/v...he-referer-page.html

You can read more about RSForm!Pro here:

www.rsjoomla.com/support/documentation/v...getting-started.html

and test it on our demo website:

Thank you for your quick response.

I have logged into the demo site and added the code from www.rsjoomla.com/support/documentation/v...can-i-catch-it-.html as this is the best method for what I want to do.

The only issue is that when I add the //<code>...//</code> to the "Default Value" of a text box, the code is visible on the front end. Is this due to some sort of permissions on the demo site or am I doing something wrong?

Kind Regards,
Matt
