Hi, is there any information or tutorials on creating our own custom Form Layout templates?? Is this even possible??

We generally create pretty small forms and custom create the layouts, as we like the code to be pretty streamlined for our purposes. Most of the code from the default Form Layouts is a bit convoluted for our purposes (using tables, break tags to separate items, etc.).

But we have to create a really long form for a client and would rather not have to manually code this from scratch. But we also don't really want to redo all of the styles we've already applied to a lot of our existing forms (this site uses a lot of customizations for the forms).

- So is there a way to modify (or create from scratch) a Form Layout template that would generate code a bit more inline with what our other forms are like so we can use the 'auto generate' to build the form??

Hello,

You could create a new default layout for your forms what is closed to your usual layout, but this will require component source code modifications. This is not recommended since all source code changes are lost when an update is performed.

This seems like quite a big limitation of the component. Any plans to ever allow layout overrides or the ability to create custom auto-generated layouts? I have no choice but to modify the source of one of the existing layouts, which as you mentioned kills the ability to update normally. I would understand if you decided not to officially support such an advanced feature, but surely I'm not the only "power" user out there that would appreciate a more extensible solution.
