Performing a new installation
Note: This method applies to RSComments! component, plugins and modules installation.
1. Login to RSJoomla! website > My Downloads area > Download RSComments!
2. Afterwards, login into the Joomla! backend administrator area
3. On the top menu, select Extensions > Manager > Install
4. Browse (or Drag and Drop) and select the zip file you downloaded.
5. If installation was successful, you should see this message:
6. You can now access RSComments! through the Components menu.
If the installation produces any errors, check if:
- 1. The archive you were trying to upload is not corrupted
- 2. The archive is being correctly uploaded to your webserver
- 3. The following folder permissions are correctly set: 755 for /components, 755 for administrator/components, 755 for /media and at least 755 for the configured Joomla tmp folder
