How to use RSBooking!'s Payment Rules

There are often situations where users book a service but don’t complete the payment right away. Fortunately, RSBooking! allows you to set up flexible payment rules to handle these cases automatically.

Case 1

For instance, you can set up a rule to send a reminder email two days before the booking starts when the booking status is confirmed. The rule will look like this:

  • If the payment method is PayPal
  • And the category is Hotels
  • And the booking status is Confirmed
  • And 2 hours before the user's booking starts
  • Then Send reminder to user
  • You can click on the Select Email. If you have one already configured, then you can select it. If not, click on the top-right New Button and create a new reminder email.

Case 2

You can also configure a rule to send a reminder email 30 minutes after a user makes a booking but hasn't completed the payment. The rule will look like this:

  • If the payment method is Stripe
  • And the category is All categories
  • And the booking status is Pending
  • And 30 minutes have passed since the user booked
  • Then Send reminder to user
  • You can click on the Select Email and either select an existing one or create a new message.

Case 3

Another common scenario is when users choose the Wire Transfer payment method. If there are 2 hours remaining before the booking starts and the payment hasn’t been completed, you can configure the system to automatically delete the booking.

  • If the payment method is Wire transfer
  • And the category is All categories
  • And the booking status is Pending
  • And 2 hours before the user's booking starts
  • Then Delete booking

Important!

Once a payment rule is configured and saved, you cannot modify it. If you've made a mistake while configuring it, you'll need to delete and start over.

These are only a few examples, there are more configuration options available in the RSBooking! Payment Rules. For more details, check out the documentation here.
