Hi,

you can enter a form a dropdown menu that automatically inserts all registered users belonging to a certain group?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Thank you for replying. I understand the css needs adjustment and how to do so without modifying source code, but which interrelated elements of the menu css need adjustment? Thanks!

The menu bar is a little too tall for my taste and I'd like to make it shorter, but cannot find an easy way to change it in the css. Does anyone know a decent way to change menu bar height without blowing anything else up?

Thanks!

Thanks. I ended up just adding some padding to all of the elements and it looks fine now.

This is caused by the way the browser handles the drop down list rendering, and not by the component.

Unfortunately at the moment there is no way to add a padding to a drop down's item list, so I'm afraid there isn't much you can do about this.

In case you want to add some CSS for your drop down, you can do so by adding a style="" property in the field's Additional Attributes field (edit the field and head over to the Attributes tab to find it).

I'm not a programmer so I make novice user mistakes -- so this may not be correct for a professional but I put a return(enter) after the last line to give it a blank line. Yes, there is now a blank but the lower case descenders don't get cut off.
And most people won't select the blank.

Just an idea...

Thanks Cristian, we are seeing it in every menu, but in IE and Safari it's worse. I am attaching a screenshot here for better clarification.

Thanks again,
Bill

Hello themiamivalley,

I took a quick look at your site and the dropdown seems to work fine in IE and Safari, can you please provide a screenshot or something to give us an insight as to what causes this issue?

When loading my form for my event, the drop down menu has code in it instead of the text content that should be there.

If you look under "# of Guests" you will see what I mean.

This just started in the last day or so.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Bill

Yes, have tried adding CSS to the item in several ways, including internally within the form's additional attributes.

In Firefox it doesn't look too bad, but IE and Safari, and Safari on a Mac it looks bad.

Thanks,

I'm not a programmer but have you thought about using CSS margin-bottom code in the additional attributes of the dropdown box?
It might be worth a few minutes of experimenting to see if you can change the spacing.

On a side note, I looked at the dropdown in Firefox and the "g" didn't look clipped on my screen.

Let us know what you come up with. Also, try putting in a ticket if you can't get it to work. They've helped me many times getting the layout of a form the way I want it.

If it helps, the page is here - hunt.bwpcommunications.com/service-request

The field is "Service Work Deadline".

I have a form that has a drop down menu with 4 options. The last option is too close to the container, and the bottom of the letter "g" is cut off.

How can I add some padding to the last item in a drop down menu to fix this?

Thanks,
Bill

I would like to validate the selected date by user to ensure the selected date is at least 7 working days (Mon-fri) before today's date. Any possibility to also validate based on time? E.g. If user order today before 3pm, the selected delivery date has to be 7 working days. If place order after 3pm, then it will be 8 working days.

Moreover, wondering if it can block certain dates in case the order if full.

Usage of the form: used it as an online menu ordering, thus will need to block dates that has full orders etc.
