I have a form where someone requests a certain date for an event using a calendar.

I'd love to be able to formulate the subject (because this will be emailed to someone) that says:

New Event Requested for [date]

[date] being the date that the requester picks from the date/time calendar.

I supposed I would also need to either hide the subject field from the requester or disable it.

I'm trying to create a form for a single day event submission. The requester should be able to pick a day starting with tomorrow and picking a date in the future and pick the time of day to start.

Since these are just one-day events, I'd like the second date and time field to be fixed at the first date field, allowing only the change in time.

Question 1: Would it be better to do this via one calendar field and then do text fields for the start and end time?

We’re in need of some customization on two calendars on a form we’ve created. Our form requires that there only be three months available for booking each year, June, August, and September. The Arrival calendar is currently defaulting to June but a visitor can pick a date in July if they attempt it and we can't have that. We need to be able to block the month of July for all years? This is happening most likely because the Date Format is not properly set in your Calendar field, please try to refer at the following article which addresses this issue:

You can edit your first calendar field (date_arr) > go to Validations tab and set the Date Modifier option to 'Selected date becomes 'date_dep' minimum date'.

My users would like to receive an iCalendar notice when they register/subscribe to an event (a .ics object included in the registration email). They can then add it to a calendar on their local/personal calendar/cloud. I am surprised this is not a current feature. Anyone have any insights?

The Min Date of the second calendar should be the chooden date + 1 day of the fist calendar.

Did you use the new date/time packer attribute for date and time or used the old calendar attribute? The old calendar attribute is only there for backwards compatibility, so I would not advice to use this.

In case the calendar is not showing, try to check whether this is coming from a Javascript or Jquery issue, by choosing an other framework in the "form properties" tab (e.g. choose HTML5 to see whether bootstrap or other cause an issue).

I have a challenge I have to perform in a form. I have 2 calendar attributes (caldate 1 and caldate 2). Caldate 1 is mandatory, caldate 2 is optional.

I also have 2 textbox attributes for filling in times (time1 and time2. Time 1 is mandatory and time2 is optional, both are in hh:mm notation and validated using a regex).

I have to apply the following logical rules in the form for the above attributes:

- In case caldate1 = equal to todays date, time1 must be at least 120 minutes later...

So...I am running Joomla 3.8.1...and the calendar simply does not work.
The Date Picker does not work, either.
I have tried multiple formats...the calendar just doesn't show ...there is only a place for the date and that's usually just a disaster for a customer.
I'm currently asking WHY did I buy this component if it does not work?
