i have to create a form for my client where they first select Personal or Business and then individual or joint. My question is would i be better to create links not within the form so for example they click business and it open business form or personal and opens personal form. Is there a way with rsforms to open a form based on the user selection. I need two forms and show or hide fields based on whether the user selects individual or joint
thanks anyone in advance for any suggestions

I have used the hidden fields feature which does not show on the form, but is accessible via the submission panel. Not quite what I want, but it is ok as a first step.

Conditional Fields could maybe work for you, and you don't need any scripts

Hello,

Can you elaborate what you mean.
I understand you want to show and hide a radio group based on a selection.

Did you ever get an answer to this? It is exactly what I want to do also.

Hello,

I've set up a form with some conditional fields.

What I want to do is to have a radio button group with values assigned to mail only:
This message is what's shown in the mail|This is what the users sees and selects.

But, when I add this when the field is controlled by conditions - it wont show or hide. I have the remove everything in front of and including |. Then it works.

Anyone with the same issue that have found a way around it?

Hello,

I never tried it but maybe you can use the conditional fields and then show/hide the fields you want.

I'm sorry but the show-hide field isn't the solution. I need a dropdown list that is editable to insert new value into the list (DB table) once submitted. I'm pretty sure it is a javascript function.

Hello,

In RSForm!Pro revision 43 you don't need Javascript to show/hide fields.
Just use the conditional fields function.

This is just what I need and works with standard radio buttons. I'm trying to design a form where the radio options are images rather than text, which works great except when trying to use the conditional fields (the conditional field function no longer works)

Does anyone have any clues as to how I might get this working

Thanks!

Hello,

Just use the show/hide field example to create a hidden field which become visible when they choose for example "Other".

Many thanks you for your reply. This feature I had not yet seen, but it's exactly what I need. Great! :)

Why don't you use conditional fields which were introduced in rev 43, http://www.rsjoomla.com/blog/view/171-show-hide-a-field-in-rsform-pro.html

Just remember to make a version for your own language if it's not English (I missed it first).

Hello,
I try to hide fields in a Formular with RSForm Pro.
I use this script: http://www.rsjoomla.com/support/documentation/view-article/93-show-or-hide-fields.html
Unfortunately, I do not know how I make the displayed fields are required.
How do I change this script so I have more fields than one as required?
<script type="text/javascript">
function validateField()
{
if(document.getElementById('hide').style.display=="" && document.getElementById('Textbox').value=="")
{...
Hope you can help...

Is there a way to hide that info? Because if the event last two weeks, it shows up every day on the calendar but if I leave the info then it shows up as start date and end date as one day when they click on the information.

Is there anything I can do to get around it? Thank you!
