Is it possible... and i'll reference the cars sample content... to show only cars that have manual transmission for front end users?

Hello,

While listing entries using the "List entries" menu item, you can publish the RSDirectory! "Filtering" module. This module allows creating advanced search filters based on your form fields(basically you can create such a filter for manual transmission cars).

You can consider using this module to apply such filterings:
