My client asked me to check a site that its using RSEvents because he wanted to allow only superusers to post events in one specific category and not others. Still other groups are able to choose this catgory.
Permissions are set correctly so I checked the code and there is no permission check before rendering the catgories in the edit form. The suscription of my client is due so I want to know if this is fixed in the last release (I didn´t find any mention about this bug in the release notes) befere telling my client to renew it.

thanks in advance.

Unfortunately there is no built-in feature that would allow you to restrict categories to a groups of users.

RSEvents!Pro is an ongoing project and new features are added all the time. You can learn about new features and updates through our blog:

I can't get the joomla groups linked to the rsevents groups. Not even directly linking a user to a rseventsgroup makes any difference. For instance, I'd like a certain joomla user group's users to not be able to publish an event. What could be wrong?
