TOPIC: Calender view upcoming events

I'm using the calender view as main page. I have a small events calender module in the side bar.
The main calender doesn't show 'past' events but more importantly, it doesn't show upcoming events for the next two days. The module calender shows past, future and todays events.

How do I get - preferably all events, but I'm happy with - today's and tomorrows events shown in the main calender please?
The administrator has disabled public write access.
