If there a way we can show certain event on Joomla page. A plugin with categories and tag option shall be highly appreciated.

Have you tried it with ModulesAnywhere from NoNumber? It gives you the ability to include modules anywhere in your Joomla content. You can than include modules with e.g. loadposition {modulename}.
