Hello
I want completely to disable comments on a page/article, I added {rscomments off} but I don't want to show “Comments are disabled” on the page. Please, how to?
Thanks

How to hide "Comments closed"? 2 weeks 22 hours ago #44288

Hi everyone,
If you are using the {rscomments closed} tag or have disabled comments for specific categories/articles, RSComments! by default displays a rather unappealing "Comments closed!" text at the bottom of the page. This looks highly unprofessional on core pages like "Contact Us" or "About Us".
If you tried using the native Joomla Language Overrides tool to find and delete this string, you probably noticed that searching for the "Comments closed!" value returns no results. This is because RSComments! handles these notifications through its own component configuration rather than standard language constants.
Here is the step-by-step solution to completely remove or customize this message:

1. Log into your Joomla Administrator panel.
2. Go to Components ➡️ RSComments!
3. In the left-hand component menu, click on the Messages tab.
4. Locate the Comment Messages section.
5. Find the field labeled Closed comments (which currently contains the text "Comments closed!").
6. Delete the text entirely to leave the field completely blank (or replace it with your own custom message).
7. Click Save or Save & Close at the top.

Once cleared, the automated message will disappear from the front-end entirely, restoring a clean layout to your content and contact forms.
Hope this saves someone a lot of time searching through language files!
