Hi there

I have just installed RSComments into my Joomla 3.3.1
I need some assistance in doing an Advanced Import of JAComments into RSComments.
I have my database table open for JAComments and am very confident I have 95% of the Fields correct in the Advanced Import Settings.

There is only one value which I am unsure about - The Component (The Component in which the comments are). Do you know which value I should select from the remaining options ?
Here is a list of all the Options available:
*I have marked with an "=" to show what I have already used and given detailed information in brackets about un-used fields.

id = The id
name = Author name
email = Author email
website = Author website
contenttitle = Comment subject
ip = Author IP
userid = User id
comment = Comment
date = Comment date
referer = The comment url
published = Published
parentid (in my current table some comments have value of "0" and some have numbers)
contentid (shows joomla article id number)
locked (all value of "0")
ordering (all value of "0")
star (all value of "0")
usertype (all blank)
option (all = com_content)
voted (various values)
report (all "0")
subscription_type (value= 0,1 or 2)
source (all blank)
type (all have value of 1)
date_active (date values)
children (value of 0, 1,...)
active_children (value of 0, 1,...)
p0 (equals exact same value as "id")
latitude (null)
longitude (null)
address (null)

Regards
Derek.

I did heaps of experimentation and managed to successfully import JAComments in RSComments.
I was not able to import Child relationships, but that does not worry me. When editing comments in the back end of Joomla, Preview this Comment does not work properly for imported comments - not a biggy to worry about either.

The main thing is that ALL comments from JAComments are now showing correctly in RSComments.
Very, very happy with this Module :) :) :)

If anyone in the future would like to know what I did, here is the formula.

Import comments from this table = ****_jacomment_items
The component = id
The id = contentid
Author name = name
Author email = email
Author website = website
Comment subject = contenttitle
Author IP = ip
User id = userid
Comment = comment
Comment date = date
The comment url = referer
Published = published

I import JAComments in to RSComments successfully but I can see all comments in the back end (admin). The
page does not show any comment!

what is wrong?
