TOPIC: file upload permissions

file upload permissions 13 years 10 months ago #10746

My users can create new folders on the front end, but when they try and upload a file to the newly creaed folder, they get the follwoing error:

The path is: Not writable

Can anyone give me an idea of how to deal with this? I need the users to be able to create folders and then uplaod files to them. At the moment I need to re-set permissions for each new folder created before a file can be uploaded.

any ideas what I'm not getting right?

many thanks

Hello,

Please make sure that the folders that your users create are placed inside a folder over which your users have Maintenance permission. Otherwise they will not be able to upload files in them.
