So if you have had any amex clients complain that they can't buy your membership- there is a bug in the validation script for the payment plugin (at least for authorize.net - not sure about paypal)

On line 29 of the script.js file found in ([joomla root]/plugins/system/rsmembershipauthorize/) change it to:
if (cc_number.value.length > 16 || cc_number.value.length < 15)

This will allow for the shorter AMEX number.

They may fix this after this post with a new release.
