TOPIC: Server requirement: fsockopen and file_get_content

Server requirement: fsockopen and file_get_content 14 years 6 months ago #8790

I did a phpinfo() on my server and I can't see if fsockopen and file_get_content are installed. However, I installed RSseo (free) on my joomla site on my server and it seems to work.

Is there any features that are limited or unavailable if fsockopen and file_get_content are not installed? And if they are not installed, does RSseo not supposed to work at all?

You can check your php settings from within your Joomla installation: Help > System Info > PHP Information.

The tryout version was designed to provide just a look and fell of the component. No functionality has actually been added.
