Have you considered adding canonical support in SEO?
I think it would be a welcome add on and is a must for better SEO.

For those who don't know what the canonical tag does see:
googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2009...-your-canonical.html

Basicly, it tells the search engine what is the real page, preventing duplicate page.

For example if you have www.example.com/mypage
This page may also be crawled as www.example.com/compontent/article/45

With the canonincal tag, the search engine knows which one is the real page.

If your websites have two or more identical pages, you need to use Canonical tags for making Google aware of which page it should give preeminence to. I hope the moderators of this forum are taking care of this aspect.

Google Webmaster Tools has under Settings a Preferred domain setting where you can select the with WWW or without.

How does RSSeo's canonicalization feature differ and if it doesn't, is it now defunct?

Starting with revision 12, RSSeo! supports the rel=”canonical” attribute, which solves the duplicate content issues generated in Joomla!

More information about this feature you can find here.

Also, we have created a video tutorial that explaines step by step how to use the canonical attribute:
